Convener of Inter-University Students' Federation and others arrested

The convener of the Inter-University Students' Federation, Madushan Chandrajith, has been arrested by the police.

Accordingly, it is stated that Madushan Chandrajith and a group of people have been arrested for engaging in a protest near the Ministry of Health despite a court order having been issued.

The court had ordered them to refrain from entering the Colombo Hospital Square and the area where the Ministry of Health is located from 12.00 noon today (16) to 5.00 pm tomorrow (17).
