Fatal road accident in Tangalle

An accident has occurred when a SLTB bus travelling from Batticaloa to Galle collided with the rear of a tipper truck travelling in front of it in the Weliara area of ​​the Colombo - Wellawaya main road.

This accident, which occurred at around 2.45 am today (24), injured 12 passengers and the driver of the tipper truck and have been admitted to the Tangalle Hospital.

One passenger, who was in a serious condition, died at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been revealed yet.

The body has been deposited at the Tangalle Hospital morgue.

Tangalle Police are conducting further investigations.
