Railway Station Masters' Strike Ends

The symbolic strike launched by the railway station masters based on several demands was ended at midnight yesterday (17).

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Railway Station Masters Association, Mr. Sumedha Somaratne, stated that train operations will be carried out as usual from today.

The railway station masters took steps to implement a 24-hour symbolic strike from midnight on the 16th based on several demands.

Due to this strike, daily train operations were affected and the operation of night mail trains was also stopped yesterday and the day before yesterday.

However, the Chairman of the Railway Station Masters Association, Mr. Sumedha Somaratne, stated that they will engage in a continuous strike in the future if their demands are not met.
